India, garba has been playing for years, but do you know the meaning behind it and from where it originated? The word “Garba” originates from the Garba name of an earthen pot (“Garbo”) with Garbo a candle inside and holes on its surface. It symbolizes the human body with a radiant soul inside.

Garba is layered with symbolism of the feminine divine and cyclical nature of life goals are performed around a centrally lit lamp or a picture or statue of the Hindu goddess .

Garba has been Durga included to the Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) of Humanity by UNESCO.This year, Chanchar Chowk promises to deliver a unique garba with energetic performances.
